Penderyn Serpent’s Tears Llandudno Peated Single Malt Welsh Whisky 70cl

Penderyn Serpent’s Tears is a lightly peated Welsh single malt produced at Penderyn’s Llandudno distillery in North Wales, combining gentle smoke with the distillery’s characteristically fruity style.

The nose brings dry autumn leaves, orchard fruit, wood smoke, creamy notes and toasted bread. On the palate, sweet peat combines with vanilla cream, baked apple, gentle malt, pepper and clove, leading into a warming finish of lingering soft peat and barley sweetness. Penderyn describes it as a smoky, fruity Welsh single malt, bottled at 46% ABV.

This release is particularly interesting because Penderyn identifies it as the first reserve of 3,000 UK bottles from the Llandudno expression.
