Penderyn Icons of Wales #13 Bad Wolf 10 Year Old Welsh Single Malt Whisky 70cl

Penderyn Bad Wolf is the thirteenth release in Penderyn’s acclaimed Icons of Wales series, created to celebrate the 10th anniversary of Cardiff-based television production company Bad Wolf Studios.

This limited-edition 10-year-old Welsh single malt was fully matured in old Tawny Port pipes, which had previously held Port for around 60 years. The result is a rich yet elegant whisky combining floral notes with layers of dried and fresh fruit, toffee, marzipan and warming spice.

The nose opens with orange blossom and rose petals followed by fruitcake, raisins, fig jam and red berries. The palate develops stewed fruits, toffee, marzipan and bittersweet marmalade, while the long finish brings dried apricot, salted caramel and nutmeg.
